In this edition, we explore Chilean music in the Netherlands through the group Amankay and the experiences of Patricio Wang, as well as the Cuncumén group, celebrating their 68 years of musical history in Chile. We also feature two presentations from Brazil: Kiko Horta presenting the Carioca accordion and Luis Barcelos discussing samba and choro. Finally, Alison Tapia Copa and Juan José Rocha take us to Bolivia with their varied musical expressions.

We are a foundation that promotes the development of the music of the Americas through various programs that seek the training, innovation, preservation, and dissemination of musical manifestations from the continent, placing them at the service of the community.

Curatorial Action Lines

Creciente Foundation defines its management plan under three curatorial action lines, which deploy a series of programs aimed at the community, safeguarding its purposes of valuing and preserving the cultural heritage, material and immaterial, of America.

Training

We value the importance of training and the educational development processes of the music of the continent in all its cultural manifestations, through various programs aimed at early childhood, children, youth, adults, and the elderly.

Research

Following the line of Latin American musicology, the research area of the Creciente Foundation focuses on cultural manifestations of America, with a special emphasis on ethnographic studies, recording, and repositories of the musical heritage of southern Chile.

Dissemination

We develop programs aimed at disseminating the musical heritage of America, its national and international circulation, and the creation of audiences.
